2012: The Love Lettering Project VIII

love lettering project, lindsay zier-vogel, love, airmail envelopes

The eighth (!) edition of The Love Lettering Project kicks off this Sunday! I’ll be set up in front of The Good Egg during the first P.S. Kensington of the year with paper and airmail envelopes and markers and you can write your own love letter to Toronto (and then hide it for a stranger to stumble upon!)

And in case you’re busy this Sunday, fear not! There’s plenty of love lettering opportunities all summer long…

May 10, 2012: The Kitchen Party

Monday, May 7th, 2012

shannon litzenberger, kitchen party, HOMEbody, dance, toronto

Fact: There’s not a whole lot better than a kitchen party, except perhaps one that also doubles as a fundraiser for a dance show I’ve been working on…! Shannon Litzenberger is throwing this shindig and I can promise a James Brown dance party (inspired by our daily 2pm dance parties while we were working on HOMEbody in Saskatchewan this January!)

There’ll also be a silent auction…and one of my brunch maps will be auctioned off with 8+ gift certificates to different brunch spots around town – how rad is that?!

More info here!

May 3-5, 2012: Histoire d’amour

I often speak in hyperbole, but this show really is a stunner. The choreography (especially the last piece by Susie Burpee) is brilliant. The dancing is incomparable — Sylvie Bouchard and Brendan Wyatt are breathtaking.
I wrote and edited the text/script for it and it was one of the best most wonderful collaborative processes I’ve ever been a part of. Do come if you can!
“An undying quest for love, and a need to understand its meaning, is the basis for this full length dance-theatre trio. Through poignant and comical journeys for three timeless lovers, Histoire d’amour ponders the essence of this ethereal feeling we cannot live without.”
