“Something sensible and solid” in the Toronto Star

lindsay zier-vogel, toronto star, grace marks, short story

This weekend my short story about Grace Marks (of Alias Grace fame) was published in Lynn Crosbie‘s Real Crime series in the Toronto Star. I rarely write short stories, and writing a story about a subject Margaret Atwood has already tackled was, um, daunting to say the least, but it was so much fun to dive into the case and imagine Grace as Mary, wandering around Upstate New York.

Read the story, Something sensible and solid, here and history about the case here.
