The Paper Place’s 6×8 show

I was beyond thrilled to be asked to be a guest judge for this year’s 6×8 show at The Paper Place.

Over 90 artists used anything they wanted — ink, oil transfer, collage, graphite, earth materials, watercolour and tape — with one unifying element, a piece of Japanese handmade kozo paper called Etchu Hagaki. The results were incredible!

It was a tough choice, but Christina Sandi Tjandra’s intricately illustrated piece took best in show and with Sean McLauchlan’s monster as the runner up.

The show’s up till Oct. 31st if you’re around: The Paper Place – 887 Queen Street West.
